Three contracts have been signed for the procurement of Hawk Mk-132 Advanced Jet Trainers (AJT).  Indian Air Force is also pursuing a scheme for procuring additional Hawk Mk-132 aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).  The scheme is presently at the Technical Evaluation stage.

There were certain delays in the execution of the first two contracts and liquidated Damages were recovered as per the terms of the respective contracts.  The current contract is operating as per schedule.

This information was given by Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar in a written reply to Shri Vincent H. Pala in Lok Sabha today.
